Honoring ancestral strength through a minimalist lens
Provenance & Medium
Our canvases are anchored by Andean Fique—a rare, wild agave fiber harvested from the steep terrain of the Colombian Andes. Historically utilized for its immense tensile strength to protect and transport the region's agricultural wealth, this exceptional natural fiber possesses a raw, architectural grit.
At Lengerke Studio, we manipulate and refine these structural cords, interweaving them with luxury elements like spun copper, fluid silks, and fine linen. The result is a striking material tension that honors ancestral heritage while elevating modern interiors.
The Atelier
From initial geometric drawings to the final pull of the warp, our production lives entirely within dedicated workshops in Bogotá and Santander, Colombia.
Here, a collective of over fifty master artisans and logistics experts bring each piece to life.
Every composition is woven completely by hand on monumental vertical looms, preserving a human discipline that cannot be replicated by machinery.
GLOBAL INTEGRATION
We manage the entire lifecycle of our work—from the loom in Colombia to our final archival studio in New York. This direct oversight ensures seamless trade logistics, allowing us to deliver bespoke, client-ready architectural foundations to residential and commercial projects globally with absolute precision and expedited timelines.
